From the Principal's Desk
It is nice to see that spring has arrived and the flowers are beginning to bloom. Included in this month’s newsletter are items that pertain to year-end events and activities, information that you will find helpful as we move towards June 29th. We have already had a few warm and sunny spring days (and we hope many more to come), so sun safety has become a concern. We ask parents to remember “Slip, Slap and Slop” when it comes to sun safety for their children.
Slip on clothing to cover arms and legs
Slap on a hat – preferably wide brimmed
Slop on sunscreen – SPF of 30 or higher
We would also encourage students to wear sunglasses outside with both UVA and UVB protection.
Congratulations to all our Kiwanis festival participants. Once again we have done very well and made Derby proud. Our boys basketball continue to roll along as they won our regional tournament and have qualified to participate in the district tournament. Good luck boys!
